Welcome to Danhostel Ribe
Danhostel Ribe in Ribe – Denmark’s oldest town and the heart of the Wadden Sea National Park Ribe has so much to offer, and the hostel is located close by Ribe’s most interesting historic, cultural and scenic highlights and offers a breathtaking view of Ribe’s skyline.
Danhostel Ribe
There is only a 1 to 5 minute walk from Danhostel Ribe to the town centre, Ribe Cathedral, Ribe Viking Museum, Ribe Art Museum, the train- and bus station, the night watchman’s round, the river Ribe Å, etc.
From the hostel you find a footpath crossing the river to the town centre’s pedestrian street. This footpath is not to be seen on Google Maps, but if you click the “Satellite” button on the Google map you can see this path: Location
Black Sun
Also one of Denmark’s most remarkable sights, the natural phenomenon “Black Sun” is very often to be seen only a 10 minute walk from the hostel. Black Sun occurs in spring and autumn months, when thousands of migration starlings daily “dance” above the marshes.
Accommodation
Danhostel Ribe is the only environmentally certified accommodation in Ribe – it is also the only environmentally certified accommodation in all the Wadden Sea National Park.
